HISTORY

Skate Across Indiana was created in 2012 by Steve Hill an effort to fight the HIV/AIDS epidemic. The first ride took place on June 8th and 9th of that same year. After 23 hours on the road, Steve became the first man to ride a skateboard across the state of Indiana solo. Even more impressive was the fact that over $3,600 was raised for the fight against the disease.

THE CAUSE

The money raised through Skate Across Indiana is used to support the work that Horizon International do in Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Uganda to fight the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Specifically, the majority of the funds raised goes directly to better the lives of children orphaned by these diseases.

THE RIDE & ROUTE

This year's Skate Across Indiana ride will take place on June 7th and 8th. The route will cover approximately 165 miles of country roads stretching from the Illinois state line at Perrysville all the way to the Ohio state line at Richmond. The ride is expected to take 22 hours to complete.
